  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. green pepper
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 6 oz. long spaghetti
  • 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. onion
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 c. cottage cheese

Directions

    Brown beef, onion and green pepper.

    Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt; simmer.

    Cook spaghetti; drain and add butter, Parmesan cheese and eggs.

    Form spaghetti mixture in a well-greased 10-inch pie pan to resemble crust. Spread cottage cheese over spaghetti.

    Fill pie with tomato meat mixture.

    Bake, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes in a 350° oven. Sprinkle with cheese and bake 5 minutes more or longer.

    Let stand before cutting to hold shape better.
