Ingredients

  • 1 lb. low-fat ground round
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 4 to 5 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 tomato paste can of water
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg. Lawry's spaghetti mix
  • 4 to 5 large mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    In a large skillet, fry meat.

    Add onion, green pepper and garlic.

    Fry 5 minutes; pour excess fat off.

    Add rest of ingredients except sugar and baking soda.

    Simmer 2 to 3 hours. Add sugar and baking soda.

    Serve with green salad and garlic bread.
