- 2 Tbsp. corn oil
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley
- 2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. dried basil
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1In a 5-quart Dutch oven, heat corn oil over medium heat.

2Add onion, garlic and parsley.

3Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.

4Place tomatoes in blender and blend on high speed for 30 seconds or until chopped.

5Add to onion mixture.

6Stir in remaining ingredients.

7Bring to a boil.

8Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 45 minutes.
