Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 3 (8 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 c. onion, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. basil

Directions

    Cook beef, onion and shortening in hot skillet.

    Stir with fork until meat has lost its redness.

    Pour off fat.

    Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, mushrooms, seasonings and Worcestershire sauce. Cover skillet.

    Lower heat and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

    Pour over spaghetti.
