Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef, browned (optional for meatless sauce, meatballs may be substituted)
  • 2 onions, fried in butter
  • 1 large can tomatoes (28 oz.)
  • 1 large can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce (may be added later, optional)

Directions

    Brown meat; remove from skillet.

    Lightly saute onions in butter in the same skillet; add remaining ingredients.

    Cook on low.

    Simmer for 2 to 3 hours.

    Return meat to skillet and continue simmering until hot.

    Serve on spaghetti noodles.
