Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 5 oz. pepperoni
  • 7 oz. Italian sausage
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 (3 lb.) cans tomatoes, beaten up
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 3/4 c. red wine (you can substitute water)
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. dried basil

Directions

    Brown ground beef; add onion and garlic (minced) until limp. Cook Italian sausage.

    Warm pepperoni.

    Combine all ingredients in large kettle.

    Reduce heat and simmer at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

    Remove bay leaves.

    Skim off fat before serving. Feeds 10.
