  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 sweet red pepper, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 12 ounces solid white tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch hot pepper flakes
  • 14 cup fresh parsley, chopped

    In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta for 8 to 10 minutes or until tender but firm.

    Drain and return to the pot, reserving 1/2 cup cooking liquid.

    Meanwhile, in a non-stick skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.

    Cook the red pepper and garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
