Ingredients

  • 1 box filo pastry
  • 2 boxes frozen spinach
  • 1 1/3 c. chopped yellow onion
  • 1/2 c. blanched almonds
  • 1/2 lb. Feta cheese
  • 1 c. mushrooms
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. dill
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 lb. melted butter

Directions

    In frying pan, fry the onions and mushrooms together until cooked.

    In a separate bowl, add together the cooked spinach (ensure the spinach is well drained before adding other ingredients), almonds, eggs, bread crumbs, dill, nutmeg and Feta cheese.

    Add the mushroom and onion mixture.

    Set aside.
