- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/4 c. chopped celery
- 1 1/4 c. long grain rice
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes (2 1/2 c.)
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 bay leaf
- dash of cayenne pepper
- 2 c. hot water
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 can beef bouillon
Directions

1Brown oil, garlic and celery.

2Mix rice, tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, bay leaf, cayenne pepper and 2 cups hot water and add to celery.

3Bring to boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

4Brown the beef, add next 3 ingredients and combine with rice.

5Bake at 350° for 35 minutes in a 3-quart casserole dish.
