- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 c. chopped pepper (red or green)
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 2 tsp. basil
- 1 lb. chopped meat
- 4 oz. dry red wine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of black pepper
- 4 oz. water
- 1 c. white or brown rice
Directions

1Brown chopped meat.

2Add salt, onion and pepper.

3Cook for a few minutes, then add wine for 3 or 4 minutes.

4Then add tomato sauce, water and rest of seasoning.

5Cook for 45 minutes on low to medium heat.

6Boil rice; drain excess water.

7Serve over rice.
