Spanish Rice

  • 1 c. rice
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/2 bell pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • water

Directions

    Place oil in large skillet and heat.

    Coat bottom of skillet well; add onion, bell pepper and rice.

    Brown rice until most of the rice is medium brown, stirring often.

    Add salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste, tomato sauce and bouillon cubes.

    Add enough water to cover rice completely.

    Bring to boil; cover and simmer slowly until all water is absorbed.

    Don't stir, but poke rice when checking it.
