- 8 slices bacon, crumbled
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 16 oz. can tomatoes
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 3/4 c. rice
- 1/2 c. chili sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- dash of pepper
Directions

1In a 10-inch skillet, cook 8 slices bacon until crisp.

2Remove and pour off half of the fat.

3In remaining fat, cook onion and green pepper until tender.

4Add tomatoes, water, long grain rice, chili sauce, salt, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and dash of pepper.

5Cover and simmer 35 to 40 minutes.

6Crumble bacon on top. Trim with parsley.

7Makes 6 servings.
