  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 6 c. rice

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except rice, in a 2 1/2-quart saucepan, stirring well.

    Bring to a boil.

    Cover and cook 15 minutes.

    Stir in cooked rice.

    Remove from heat.

    Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
