Spanish Rice

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cups Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Long Grain Rice
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce (any Kind You Like)
  • 3 dashes Lawry's Garlic Salt, Or 1/2 Teaspoon
  • 3 dashes Lawry's Seasoned Salt Or 1/4 Teaspoon
  • 5 dashes Ground Pepper Or 1/4 Teaspoon
  • 1-1/2 can Water, Or 1 Can (14 Oz. Size) Broth And 1/2 Water

Directions

    In a small (covered) pot, add oil on medium heat. After the oil is hot, about 2 to 3 minutes, add the rice and brown for 5 to 10 minutes.

    Add your can of tomato sauce and water or broth. (I do this over the sink in case it gets too hot and boils over. My pot is little.)

    Put on the stove, add your seasonings, and stir. Wait for a boil and turn down to simmer. Put the lid on and wait 15 minutes, then turn the heat off and let stand with the lid on for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve.
