- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1/2 onion
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 cans water
- garlic salt (to taste)
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. oil
Directions

1Over medium heat in a skillet cook rice in oil. When rice starts to brown add chopped onion.

2Cook about a minute.

3You will smell the onion cooking.

4Add tomato sauce, then quickly the water (it will sizzle); stir together.

5Slowly add garlic salt to taste.

6Put a cover over the skillet.

7Reduce heat to low and simmer about 20 minutes.

8All liquid should be gone.
