Spanish Rice With Ham

  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 (1 lb.) canned ham, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (3 c.)
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (12 oz.) can hot-style vegetable juice cocktail
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. quick cooking rice
