  • 3 lb. ribs
  • 2 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. hot water
  • 2 lb. sauerkraut

    Brown ribs in shortening; add onion, salt, pepper and water. Cover and simmer for 1 hour over low heat.

    Add sauerkraut; cover and cook for 20 minutes.
