  • 2 lb. beef stew meat (lean)
  • 4 carrots
  • 4 potatoes
  • 3 large onions
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 1 tomato can water
  • 3 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Spread stew meat over bottom of roaster or Dutch oven.

    Cut vegetables into big chunks over meat.
  3. 3
    Pour canned tomatoes and can of water over all.
  4. 4
    Sprinkle with tapioca and seasonings. Cover and bake at 275° for 4 hours. Then remove cover.

    Stir and bake 1 hour longer.

    Serve with tossed salad and rolls.
