Ingredients

  • 6 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. water (lukewarm)
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 yeast cakes
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c. lard

Directions

    Put water, sugar and yeast in bowl.

    Add salt and 2 cups sifted flour.

    Beat for 2 minutes.

    Add eggs and melted, cooled lard and beat 1 minute.

    Gradually add 4 1/2 cups flour, stirring until dough is formed.

    Divide into 3 parts.

    Roll out and cut each circle wedge like pie into 12 wedges.

    Start at wide part of wedge and roll up to form rolls.

    Put in pan and let rise.

    Use beater for this recipe.

    Bake at 375°.
