- 1 can chicken broth

Directions

1Clean and pat dry entire inside and outside of bird; season outside and cavity with salt, pepper and rosemary.

2Place in a large roasting pan, surrounded with chopped celery, parsnips, turnips, carrots and onion.

3Add chicken stock to pan; cover and roast at 325° for 2 1/2 hours.

4Before carving, prepare gravy from pan juices.

5Serve with Spiced Apples.
