  • 500g chicken mince Whole Foods 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
  • 125g block PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 onion, finely diced or grated Safeway 3 lb For $2.99 thru 02/09
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoons coriander leaves, roughly chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • oil for frying
  • 6 ciabatta rolls, halved
  • 1 baby cos lettuce, washed
  • 1 red capsicum, cut into thin strips
  • extra sweet chilli and coriander leaves for serving

Directions

    Combine mince, Philly*, onion, breadcrumbs, sauce, coriander, spices and seasonings.

    Mix well.

    Divide into 6 and form into burgers.

    Dust burgers in flour.

    Heat the oil in a large frying pan or on a barbecue plate.

    Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes each side over a medium heat until cooked through.

    Assemble the lettuce leaves, and capsicum onto the base of each roll.

    Top with the burger, coriander, sweet chilli sauce and top of the roll.

    Serve immediately.
