  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 18 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 4 teaspoons neutral oil
  • 2 cups pecans

    Heat oven to 350 degrees.

    Mix together salt, sugar, cumin and cayenne.

    Stir in oil to make a smooth mixture.

    Toss pecans with seasonings to coat.

    Arrange on cookie sheet in single layer.

    Toast 8 to 10 minutes, until they take on a little color.
