  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 2 c. pecan halves
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Butter 2 cookie sheets.

    Combine sugar, salt, allspice and cinnamon.

    Stir in water and corn syrup.

    Cook over medium heat until 235° on candy thermometer (soft ball water test).

    Add nuts and vanilla; stir until thickens.

    Coat pecan halves; place on cookie sheets and separate pieces.
