Spicy Java BBQ Sauce

   Cook bacon in large heavy saucepan on medium-high heat until crisp.

   Drain, reserving 1/4 cup of the drippings in saucepan (or reserving 1 Tbsp.

   of the drippings for trial recipe).

   Add onions and garlic to reserved drippings; saute 2 min.

   Add brown sugar, vinegar and pepper; stir.

   Reduce heat to low; simmer 2 min., stirring occasionally.

   Add remaining ingredients.

   Bring to boil on medium-high heat.

   Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 20 to 25 min.

    or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.

    Remove and discard bay leaves.

    Cool sauce completely before storing in refrigerator until ready to use as desired.
