- 1 small onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp. oil for frying
Directions

1Finely chop the onion; crush the garlic.

2Put with rest of ingredients except for the oil into a bowl and mix well together. Shape mixture into walnut-sized balls.

3Fry the meatballs in shallow oil for about 15 minutes, turning once.

4Arrange on a warmed serving plate and serve with rice, pasta or gravy.
