Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups macadamia nuts mix of, almonds, and cashew nuts, preferably unsalted, otherwise, adjust the amount of salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter oil
  • 2 teaspoons muscovado sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • sumac
  • cumin
  • cayenne powder

Directions

    Put the nuts in a dry pan (without oil) and lightly brown while turning regularly. Remove from heat and set aside.

    In the skillet, heat the butter (or oil) and add muscovado sugar, sea salt, 2 pinches of sumac and cumin and 1 pinch of cayenne powder. Stir until the mixture produces a pleasant smell.

    Add nuts, remove from heat, and stir well in order to coat the dried fruits with the spicy mixture. Let cool. Spice mixture can be made to taste, muscovado sugar adds a pleasant caramel flavor:
