• 2 tsp. baking powder
• 1/4 tsp. soda
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
• 1/4 tsp. cloves
• 1/2 c. ready to eat bran
• 1/2 c. shortening
• 1 c. sugar
• 2 eggs, slightly beaten
• 1/2 c. prune cooking liquid
• 2 tsp. grated orange rind
• 1 c. chopped, cooked prunes
• 1/2 c. chopped nutmeats
