  • 1/4 tsp. each: cinnamon and nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. each: cloves and ginger
  • 1/4 c. chilled butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 c. sugar

    Combine flour, sugar and spices in a mixing bowl.

    Cut butter or margarine into flour, with pastry blender or blending fork, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
