- 1 c. Minute tapioca
- 3 1/2 c. boiling water
- 3/4 c. orange juice or less
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 lb. figs, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. chopped nut meats
- 2 c. brown sugar, packed
Directions

1Stir salt and tapioca into boiling water very slowly.

2Use long handled wooden spoon, or it will sometimes pop on your hand. Cook until tapioca is almost transparent.

3Add brown sugar, finely cut figs and raisins.

4Cook a few more minutes, until fruit is tender.

5Add fruit juices and nuts; cook a minute or 2 longer. Cool and serve in sauce dishes with whipped cream or Cool Whip. This is a large recipe, but can be cut in half.
