- 3 lb. short ribs of beef
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
- 1 c. condensed beef broth
- 1 c. dried apricots
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
Directions

1Dust ribs with flour; brown in vegetable shortening in large skillet.

2Pour off excess fat.

3Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over ribs.

4Cook under low heat 2 1/2 hours or until ribs are tender.

5Turn ribs and baste with sauce often.
