  • 1 pt. almonds
  • 1 tsp. to 1 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. salt or to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 qt. water
  • vegetable cooking spray

Directions

    Bring 1 quart of water to boiling.

    Dump almonds in boiling water; cook about 1 minute.

    Drain almonds well in a colander. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet.

    Add cayenne pepper and salt to the hot oil.

    Saute almonds until golden.

    Cool.

    Keep in refrigerator.
