Spinach Casserole

  • 1- 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1- 10 3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices bread, cubed
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • dash of garlic salt
  • dash of red pepper

Directions

    Cook spinach, squeeze out all the liquid.

    Combine with the sugar, undiluted soup, egg and cheese.

    Turn into a greased 1 1/2 qt. casserole.

    Melt butter, garlic salt and red pepper in small skillet.

    Toss bread cubes in butter.

    Spread over spinach mixture.

    Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
