  • 3 pkg. frozen spinach, drained
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 12 Tbsp. butter
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 4 slices bread, toasted and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 4 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

    Arrange with drained spinach in a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

    Heat milk slowly with 4 tablespoons butter and American cheese until cheese melts.

    Cool, then stir in slightly beaten eggs.

    Pour cheese sauce over spinach.

    Saute garlic in 8 tablespoons butter until brown.

    Add toasted cubes and stir until toast absorbs the butter.

    Arrange over the top of spinach. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
