- 1 cup Split Yellow Gram Dal (Moongh Dal)
- 1 bunch Spinach
- 1 Tomato
- 1 Onion
- 2 Green Chillies
- 1/2 cup Grated Coconut
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 4 Small Shallots
- 1 Dried Red Chilly
Directions

1Wash the split yellow gram dal two-three times.

2Pour some hot water into it & cook well.

3Chop the spinach, tomato, onion & green chillies.

4Add it to the cooked dal.

5Sprinkle some salt for taste.

6While it's cooking, add water & grind the coconut, cumin powder, garlic & turmeric powder finely.

7When the spinach, tomatoes & onions are cooked, add this ground mixture to the dal.

8Mix & boil till the raw taste is gone.

9Heat some oil.

10Put the mustard seeds into it.

11After a minute, add chopped shallots & dried red chilli into it.

12Saute till brown.

13Add it to the dal.

14Stir.
