- 2 pkg. frozen chopped spinach
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 5 oz. evaporated milk
- 1/2 c. vegetable liquid
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 tsp. celery salt
- 3/4 tsp. garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- 8 oz. Jalapeno cheese
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions

1Cook spinach according to directions on package.

2Drain and reserve liquid.

3Melt butter in sauce pan over low heat.

4Add flour, stirring until blended and smooth, but not brown.

5Add onion and cook until soft, but not brown.

6Add liquid slowly, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.

7Cook until smooth and thick.

8Continue stirring.

9Add seasoning and cheese which has been cut into small pieces.

10Stir until cheese is melted.

11Combine with cooked spinach. Put into a casserole and top with bread crumbs and butter.

12Bake at 350 degrees until bread crumbs are light golden brown.
