  • 1 pie shell 9 inch unbaked
  • 10 ounces frozen chopped spinach
  • spanish onion 1 lg., chopped, 2 c.
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 3/4 cup swiss cheese grated
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 dash nutmeg

    Bake pie shell until partially done at 375 degrees, about 7 minutes.

    Peel and chop onion.

    Cook bacon in skillet until crisp.

    Drain on paper towel.

    Crumble.

    Add onions to bacon drippings in skillet and saute until soft but not brown.

    Cook spinach according to package directions, omitting salt.

    Drain thoroughly, squeezing out excess moisture.
