  • 10 slices white bread, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
  • 2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 (10 1/4 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper

    Cook spinach according to directions and drain well.

    In buttered 2-quart shallow baking dish (12 x 8 x 2-inches) arrange half of bread cubes.

    Spread spinach on bread evenly.

    Sprinkle with 1 cup Cheddar cheese.

    Top with remainder of bread and cheese.
