Split Pea With Ham

  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 pound split peas
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 celery stalk
  • onion 1 sm.
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

    Blend carrots, celery stalk and onion finely in blender.

    Place large ham bone with bits of ham left on it, in the pot of water.

    I usually add a little more water than 2 quarts you will have to do this according to taste.

    Add all ingredients to pot after it has been cooking 3 hours, remove ham bone and take ham off bone and return meat to pot.

    Discard bone.

    Cook additional 1 to 2 hours.

    If soup gets too thick, dilute with small amount of water.
