- 2 quarts water
- 1 pound split peas
- 2 carrots
- 1 celery stalk
- onion 1 sm.
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- salt
- pepper
Directions

1Blend carrots, celery stalk and onion finely in blender.

2Place large ham bone with bits of ham left on it, in the pot of water.

3I usually add a little more water than 2 quarts you will have to do this according to taste.

4Add all ingredients to pot after it has been cooking 3 hours, remove ham bone and take ham off bone and return meat to pot.

5Discard bone.

6Cook additional 1 to 2 hours.

7If soup gets too thick, dilute with small amount of water.
