  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/3 c. hot water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla (optional)

Directions

    Beat egg yolk until a lemon color.

    Beat egg whites.

    Add egg yolk, sugar and flour.

    Add hot water and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add stiffly beaten egg whites last. Bake in a well-greased pan in 350° oven.
