- 1 c. cake flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon
Directions

1Beat 6 egg whites with 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar until soft mounds form.

2Add 1/4 cup sugar and beat until stiff.

3Combine egg yolks, cold water, vanilla and lemon.

4Blend egg yolk mixture with dry ingredients.

5Beat 1 minute.

6Fold egg yolk mixture into egg white mix (1/4 at a time).

7Do not stir.

8Pour into ungreased tube pan.

9Cut through batter to remove bubbles.

10Bake at 325° for 60 minutes.

11Invert pan and leave until cool.
