  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. shortening (I use oil)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. each cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger

Directions

    Mix all together and add last 1/2 cup boiling water.

    Bake in 11 x 7-inch pan for 35 to 45 minutes at 350°.
