- 1 c. yellow or white corn meal
- 2 c. sweet milk, scalded
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Add corn meal to scalded milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumping.

2Combine butter; blend until smooth.

3Cool slightly.

4Add well beaten egg yolks, beating while adding.

5Combine salt, sugar and baking powder, then stir in.

6Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

7Pour into a hot baking or casserole dish.

8Preheat oven to 400°.

9Cook for 30 minutes.

10Serve hot.

11Bread will be soft; serve with spoon.
