  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. melted shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 4 c. flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in water.

    Mix together in a large bowl with all the other ingredients.

    Store covered in refrigerator.

    Use as desired.

    This batter will keep several days.

    To cook, spoon batter into well-greased muffin tin and bake immediately at 425° for 20 minutes.
