- 1 pkg. (1/4-oz) active dry yeast
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Combine yeast and 2 cups lukewarm water in a large bowl; let mixture stand 5 minutes.

3Stir in flour and remaining ingredients until blended.

4Spoon into well greased cast iron muffin pans, filling two-thirds full, or into well greased cast iron drop biscuit pans, filling half full.

5Bake for 20 minutes or until rolls are golden brown.
