Squash Casserole

  • 1 lb. squash
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • 1 stick butter, divided
  • cracker crumbs, crushed

Directions

    Cook squash until tender; drain and mash.

    Mix sugar, mayonnaise, onions, egg, salt, pepper and half of the butter. Place in casserole dish and top with cracker crumbs, cheese and rest of butter.

    Cook at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
