  • 4 c. stewed squash, drained
  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 saltine crackers, crushed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. rubbed sage

Directions

    Brown sausage and beef in skillet; drain.

    In large bowl, mix squash, meat, chopped onion, eggs, crackers, salt, pepper, sage and cheese.

    Pour into greased casserole dish.

    Bake at 400° until brown, about 30 minutes.
