Squash Casserole

  • 1 1/2 lb. squash
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 2 c. croutons
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 stick margarine, divided (3/4 stick and 1/4 stick)

Directions

    Melt 3/4 stick margarine in casserole.

    Slice squash; boil and drain.

    Put 1 cup croutons in casserole with margarine.

    Mix all ingredients together.

    Pour over 1 cup croutons.

    Top with other cup of croutons and 1/4 stick margarine.

    Bake in a 350° oven until done, about 45 minutes.
