- 6 to 8 medium sized squash
- cracker crumbs
- grated cheese
- 1 small onion or onion salt
- butter
Directions

1Wash and scrape squash.

2Cut into slices.

3Place in dish, uncooked or cooked.

4If cooked, cook with onion and place a layer of squash and onion in greased baking dish.

5Top layer with cracker crumbs and salt and dot with butter and add grated cheese.

6Build layers until 3 fold layers are built.

7Top with cheese.

8Before placing in 350° oven add enough water to keep from being too dry or burning.

9When cheese melts and casserole is bubbly, it is ready to serve.

10Will serve 6 to 8 folks.
