Ingredients

  • 1 lb. squash, sliced
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. sharp grated cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tube crackers, crumbled
  • 1/2 stick butter

Directions

    Cook squash; drain and mash.

    Add other ingredients, except butter and cracker crumbs.

    Put in 2-quart casserole.

    Top with cracker crumbs mixed with melted butter.

    Bake 35 to 40 minutes in 350° oven.
