  • 4 c. cornbread, crumbled
  • 1/2 stick margarine, melted
  • 3 c. cooked mashed squash
  • 1/2 stick margarine, melted
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped or as much as you like
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Mix cornbread crumbs and 1/2 stick margarine. Place 1/2 of this mixture in a greased casserole. Mix the squash with the remaining ingredients and pour over the cornbread crumbs. Top with the remaining cornbread crumbs and bake at 400° for 30 minutes.
